The BigChem is in the hood and it wants money from Michelle Obama. It's a racket alright, but nothing that Croplife actually protects anything. They want to poison the kids who visit Michelle Obama's organic garden, plain and simple.
Kids are far more susceptible to chemicals than us bigger bodied adults. Croplife has the unmitigated gall to claim that organic gardening is somehow bad, and that Michelle needs their "protection". I'm not making this up.
Please write Michele Obama to give her your support. Reassure her that she doesn't need SoilDeath's I mean Croplife's protection in order to have an amazing garden.
Here's my letter:
Michelle,
Ignore the letters and pressure from Croplife to use chemicals in your garden. Croplife obviously doesn't realize that using their products would be poisoning kids; they're much more susceptible than adults. How would that look - to have a photo op with you in the garden and then a few days later complain about not feeling so good.
Chemical protection products protect only Croplife's profits, and further mask the true issues in the garden. I heartily recommend the book "How To Grow More Veggies than you ever thought possible."
Gardens do have pests but 9 times out of 10, importing ladybugs will get the job done. And in the case of aphids, all to common, just hosing them off solves the problems. But to avoid bugs eating my garden, I simply plant flowers for them to munch on.
I look forward to seeing how your garden grows this year. You grow girl!
A huge supporter,
