The way it used to be on a farm is making a big comeback. If you grew up in the late 60's and on out, you might not how Nixon's Ag Sec Earl Butz advanced large scale farming. BigAg is just awful for the land, resulting in monocultures that cannot be sustained without the heavy and increasing use of chemicals to maintain fertility.

"The only reason the framers of the Bill of Rights did not include freedom of food choice along with the right to bear arms, worship and speech was that they couldn't conceive of the day when food would have to have a USDA sticker on it," he says.

The founding fathers were farmers. They couldn't conceive of a day when the government would be involved with food supply. If you have facts that can make a case for BigAg farming, I'd like to hear it.
