More Digging
The raspberry cane overran the blackberry bush. So, I had to move them. I don't know if it will be successful because I might have severed too many roots. I dug down as much as I could, and cut my legs up due to the blackberry thorns. Time will tell. The offshoots were doing great before the storm hit, so I think they will be fine.
I moved the blackberry bush and two canes about 6 feet away. When I dug the hole I was annoyed to find more black plastic mulch, about 8 inches deep mixed with river rock. Oh, the stupidity. River rock on top of black plastic. Ugh. No wonder there are deep weed roots there. Time for Mr. Double Digger to put on his cast iron core and dig it out.
