Home » Planning Your Garden

Now you're composting and keeping your soil healthy, now you can engage me to help you plan out your garden

This is all about you and location: the right plants in the right place. You can grow in containers if space is limited, and grow in partial shade, and grow whatever you want to a point. That point is determined by the sun and how much of your garden gets. The more sun the better.

Once you have the location figured out, then its time to figure out what you want to eat from your garden. Keep in mind that you're going to wind up with fantastic food, herbs, and flowers. I don't do failure. I can help you plan it out so that you have a great garden to enjoy. That's what it is all about for me: great, successful gardens, especially if they're better than my own!

Last step: planting

Compost

Compost builds good soil structure. Good structure allows a soil to breathe and facilitates circulation. Heavy clay soil - such as what we have in Colorado - tends to become waterlogged quickly, preventing water and air penetration.
