Pull Your Weeds

This new article from CRIIGEN shows that Roundup residues found in GM food and feed can cause cell damage and even death -- even at very low levels. The authors say that their research "... points to undesirable effects which are currently masked or hidden from scientific scrutiny."

Pull your weeds. Using Roundup not only guarantees weeds, but leaves residue that can be easily tracked into your home. Quite a few of my neighbors can be seen spraying Roundup on weeds, rather than pull or chop them with a lawnmower. They believe that if it's for sale, it must be safe but they never can be bothered with facts, and I think they inherently are skeptical of scientific reports.

They should be. After all there are lots of scientific reports producing claims to the contrary. And while they may not know exactly how such research is easily corrupted via various means such as throwing out undesirable results (also known as "fact cleaning"), why don't they ever err on the side of caution?

I have this to say about weeds: pull them and compost them, and realize that weed seeds outnumber non-weed seeds by 20 million to 1, and they can be fertile up to 7 years.

Rather than create a chemical mess for yourself and neighbors, we not just realize that if you want a truly weed free yard, your ENTIRE neighborhood upwind from you is going to have to pitch in and weed everything in sight. That's to say that weeds are here to stay. They best use for them is to reuse their solar energy and compost them before they sprout seeds.
